What I would like to learn from now

After finishing studying computer for more than two months at school, I would like to learn two skills. First one is how to make web pages more specifically. I thought that it was too difficult to me before learning it in computer class, but I found that I could do it. In addition, it is interesting for me to learn the structure of web pages and I came to be interested in it. Therefore, I would like to study editing web pages more, and create my own web pages. Secondly, I would like to learn the way to edit video. I started to think so after art day. For art day, Mr. Poza and the video-making team created special video. I not only enjoyed watching it but also came to be interested in editing video. Through these experiences, I began to think I would like to learn more skills to making web pages and editing video.

VIRAL VIDEO

Viral video means the video offered with email, instant messaging (the system of communicating real-time), blogs, and websites. Many viral videos are comical and funny. They include from short scenes which are able to be watched on TV to sketches that audience record just for fun or interest, and are published by chance. The increase of cell phones with cameras make it possible for a lot of users to record video clips with them. Furthermore, because consumers can use video editing and releasing instruments cheaply, they can edit and spread short videos from cell phones virally. Most of these videos are not for selling but for enjoyment among family and friends.
We can watch lots of viral videos on the web. Here is one web site!! Click and enjoy watching viral videos!!!

The Future Computer

In the future, computers will have more skills to do different jobs. I guess that we will be able to use telephone on them. When I get phone call from someone, the computer will ring and make me notice, so I won’t have to put telephone at home. Moreover, the computer will be able to more interesting function. I guess that we will be able to see picture of anywhere in the world anytime. For example, it will be possible for my mother to see the picture of Sheboygan where I will study. She will get the information of the place such as how the weather like, what people are doing etc. how can it be achieved? They may put cameras at some place? I don’t know, but if it become real, it will be interesting. Computer will continue to be progressive from now on. I’m looking forward to the future function of it.

Net neutrality is that everyone can access to the Internet equally. It doesn’t allow any companies to have special power to have the prerogative on the Internet. Though the term is new, the idea went back to 1860 or even much earlier. Among telephone companies, they must not decide the person we call and the content we talk. Just like this system, any online company should not be permitted to have special power to limit the content we get first and fastest. Net neutrality is a big issue in the U.S. The telecommunications idea has already admitted in the U.S. House of Representatives, and the U.S. Senate passed it, too. There are many debates in this bill. The idea of net neutrality is supported by the companies, such as Google, and Yahoo, which are close to my computer life.

***The Helpful, Useful, and Enjoyable Web Sites***

I will show you three good English web sites, which are You Tube, Mozilla, and Full House’s homepage.
First, You Tube is a helpful site for my research paper. My friend told me it recently when I was looking for recorded interview of Sadako Ogata, who was the president of UNHCR, for my research paper. I couldn’t find what I was searching for there, but I found a short film about Kurd’s history, which would be useful for me. Also, I found an interesting short moving image. You Tube is not only helpful but also enjoyable.

Second, Mozilla is also useful site. There are other sites where I can look for information. For example, Yahoo and Google, but Mozilla has different aspects from them. When I want to see many pages, I can make tubs, and change from one page to the other pages smoothly though I have to take a page from window buttons in the bottom in using the other sites.

Third, Full House’s homepage will be enjoyable to see. I use “will” because I have found this page just now. Actually, I don’t see web sites in English very often, so I searched the site of Full House, which I’m interested in. I enjoy watching Full House on TV. Their English is easy to understand, and its story is funny. I will enjoy watching its web site, too through knowing casts’ biographies, pictures, episode guide, and so on.

These three English web sites are good, I think. I’ll keep using them for study and pleasure

Computer Gifts I Would Buy for Friends & Family

I Pod, which is what I want, is also what I want to give my brother. He is interested in listening to music recently, but he has no portable CD or MD player. He likes using a computer, so I Pod will be good method for him. In addition, I wish there are Poza’s homepage in JAPANESE, and I could give my family it. They (including me) are not familiar with a computer, and may have used only a part of its function so far. The homepage will be very helpful for them to learn computer because it is easy to understand each page with pictures and clear structure as long as it is Japanese!! The original English homepage will be confusing for them…. This is supposition. I don’t know it can be called computer gift, but IF there were that kind homepage, I would like to present it to my family in addition to giving I Pod to my brother.

Social Engineering

Social Engineering is the word which is related to computer security. It means a skill of getting someone’s secret information often by tricking him or her into tell it. It happens on a computer, so the assailant and the victim never meet directly almost always. One reason of this damage is in people’s not paying enough attention to their private information. Erasing important information carelessly and setting simple password that can be speculated without great effort can be good targets for social engineers. Therefore, we need to understand the significance of information and the system of social engineering. In one case, a group used researches and tricks, such as remembering important employees’ names, and affecting to lost their keys and identity badges. Then, they succeeded in getting into a shipping firm, and accessing to the company’s network.

What I Want To Learn about Computers

I would like to learn a little about all its functions. My goal is to know what kinds of tasks a computer can do, and when I should use each function. Moreover, in a lot of its functions, I especially learn the skill to make my homepage because I would like to keep a diary with pictures on my homepage after graduating from LCJ and starting to study in America. It will be a useful way for my family to know my American life. If I can make attractive homepage, people whom I don’t know yet will be interested in it. It will be a trigger for getting to know new people. To make this reality, I would like to master the skill of establishing my original homepage in addition to learning all operation of a computer slightly.

My history with computers

My history with computers started about six years ago. I met a computer when I was a junior high school student. My father bought it. While I was in junior high school and high school, I did use a computer at school and home for classes, assignments, and e-mail. However, I didn’t like a computer so much actually because I didn’t know it specifically, and enjoy using it. When the computer showed error messages or wouldn’t work, we, my family read the numerous pages of books to find a solution, called the center which dealt with problems for help, or took it to the shop. It was troublesome. Therefore, I didn’t try new functions to avoid trouble though I was interested in them. Now, my relationship with a computer is different from the one before. I use it more often, and learned it much more. I found its usefulness and pleasure. I’d like to learn its useful functions more in this class to make the best use of it.
